Sharon Etgar
Sharon Etgar (b. 1975) is an Israeli artist, whose practice includes painting, collage-making, textile and sewing works. Etgar is a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem (1997-2001) as well as the Jerusalem Studio School for Painting and Drawing (2003-2007). Etgar's work has been exhibited internationally and can be found in a wide range of public and private collections including the National Gallery of Art, Washington DC, the Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers Univesity, New Jersey, and the Werner and Sarah-Ann Kramarsky Collection. Recent exhibitions include 'Elements', Hansen House, Jerusalem (2021), 'People with the Sense of Possibilty', The New Gallery Musrara, Jerusalem (2018); 'Into the Box', Inga Gallery, Tel Aviv (2018), 'Lacuna', Taylor Galleries, Dublin (2017); 'In line', Gallery Joe, Philadelphia (2015); 'Veiling and Unveiling', Inga Gallery, Tel Aviv (2014); 'Everyone Carries a Room Inside' Museum on the Seam, Jerusalem (2014); 'Moby Dick', Tel Aviv Museum, Tel Aviv (2013); 'Thread Drawings', Davis and Langdale Gallery, New York (2013); Etgar lives and works in Tel Aviv and teaches at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem.
