Valery Bolotin
Valery Bolotin is an artist and photographer. He was born in 1974 in Konotop,Ukraine and immigrated to Israel in 1990. He currently lives and works in Tel Aviv. He completed his BFA at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem, and participated in a student exchange program at the School of Visual Arts, New York. He also participated in a postgraduate program at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Tel Aviv, and studied Comparative Literature at Tel Aviv University, Tel Aviv. Since 2002 he held solo shows and participated in group shows in Israeli and international venues, among which: Infiniti, Elma Arts Complex, Zichron Yaakov (2015); Showroom, Inga Gallery, Tel Aviv; No Alibi, Photography Department Art Gallery, Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem (2014); Alibi, Inga Gallery, Tel Aviv (2013); No Logo, Heder Gallery, Tel Aviv, (2007); Mediterraneans, MACRO, Rome, Italy; and First Israeli Biennale for Video Art, Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art, Herzliya (2003). He is a recipient of the Rich Foundation Excellence Prize (2004), America-Israel Cultural Foundation Prize (2002) and Excellence Scholarship, Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem (2002).
